ENVI-AGRI public hearing on "Save bees and farmers!"

On Tuesday 24 January, the ENVI and AGRI Committees, in association with the Committee on Petitions held a public hearing on the European Citizens' Initiative (ECI) "Save bees and farmers! Towards a bee-friendly agriculture for a healthy environment".
The initiative collected over 1 million signatures calling on the Commission to propose legal measures to phase out synthetic pesticides by 2035, to restore biodiversity and to support farmers in this transition. The ECI's organisers were invited to present the initiative's objectives and engage with Members and the European Commission's representatives.
