👋 A big Grover welcome to our new VP of Growth & Marketing, Benjamin Lode! Benjamin joins us with an impressive track record in marketing, most recently serving as the VP of Marketing at KoRo, a rapidly growing food scale-up. With decades of experience in the marketing space, he brings a commitment to data-driven decision making and passion for experimentation with new channels and creative ideas—as well as team collaboration. Here's Benjamin’s thoughts on getting started at Grover: “Joining Grover as the VP of Marketing and Growth is incredible for me! 📣 We’re proud to announce our participation in Undress Circularity! This is an industry initiative, being led by Circularity, with support from SYSTEMIQ Deutschland GmbH and Fraunhofer IZM. We’re part of a group of industry partners (shout out to: rebuy, everphone, Telekom, Vodafone, Assurant, Foxway, Reverse Logistics Group, Ingram Micro, Recommerce Group, circulee, and fixfirst), who will contributing data and expertise to the project. Grover’s imaging team had an action-packed day last Wednesday! ⚡ As a partner of Insta360, they were lucky enough to join an experience event for the new Insta360 X4 action camera. 📷 Taking place at BMW Motorradwelt in Spandau, Berlin, the highlight was a very hands-on workshop with a product expert. 🌏 Today’s Earth Day, arguably the largest environmental day on the calendar. This year’s theme is Planet vs. Plastics. Why? Well, the worldwide production of plastics was 400.3 million metric tons in 2022, quite a staggering number and one that calls for drastic change. Plastic is a major component of e-waste, a problem Grover looks to help reduce through circulating devices. Based on our estimations, the tech we’ve circulated together translates to 220,000 e-waste devices avoided. To give you a visual: That's the e-waste equivalent of a full passenger plane in weight, and the emissions of about 2,700 round trips from Berlin to Auckland. Planet vs Plastics, calls for a 60% reduction in the amount of plastic products being produced by 2040. And while that number may feel daunting, we can all impact this in our daily decision-making—staying engaged, informed, and active.
